The floor of this garage was bare, unsealed concrete, that produced a lot of fine concrete dust. Owners of the house put up with it for while and then contacted us for some suggestions. During our site visit we proposed a number of solutions to eliminate rising concrete dust from dust-proofing the floor with clear penetrating sealer to coating the floor with polyurea or 2 pack epoxy garage coating. The owners selected to use a water based 2 pack epoxy as it had very low VOC.
Garage floor had to be ground with diamond floor grinder with attached dust extraction system.
We then carried out some minor repairs and applied 2 roll coats of water based 2 pack epoxy coating in “Light Grey” colour.
The finished result now provides this family with trouble free garage floor for years to come. No more concrete dust.
